About the Role
The Livermore Trade Compliance Specialist will support the Livermore site with international transactions, potential import/export commercial opportunities, and provide backup coverage for the business's overall trade needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Eliminate customs holds by ensuring complete material classifications.
- Proactively work with internal teams to prevent clearance delays.
- Assist in preparing accurate and complete documentation for international shipments, ensuring proper storage and retention.
- File export EEI/ITN and complete SLI with carriers for export shipments exceeding $2500.
- Develop and improve export trade processes within the Livermore facility.
- Manage HTS, Schedule B, EAR, and standard duty rate data within the ERP, communicating changes that may impact duty rates.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- PC proficiency, including superior skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and effective communication via email, telephone, and web-based presentations.
- Self-management skills, including time and resource management, balancing competing demands, monitoring priorities, and requesting resources appropriately.
- Strong problem-solving skills, utilizing logic and analytical methods to identify solutions, gather information effectively, analyze data, and recommend workable solutions.
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- Strong attention to detail and strict adherence to trade policies and procedures.
- Ability to be firm and assertive to uphold regulations.

- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to partner with commodity leaders, sourcing specialists, profitability managers, and commercial leaders.
- Import/export or customs brokerage experience.
- Associate’s degree or comparable work experience.
