Admissions Counselor

About the Role

Felician University is offering an exciting opportunity for a goal-oriented admissions counselor for transfer, adult, and accelerated/online degree completion students. This position is a twelve-month full-time appointment and is eligible for flexible work in accordance with university policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages a defined recruitment portfolio, which may include community college partnerships, corporate and organizational partners, and prospective adult learners.
• Represents the university’s transfer and accelerated programs offerings to prospective students, community college advisors, and partner institutions.
• Evaluates transcripts and prior coursework for preliminary transferability.
• Determines admissibility in accordance with university policy.
• Guides applicants through the initial enrollment process.

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Excellent platform (public speaking) skills

• Ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people
• Availability and willingness to work evening and weekend hours as needed
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in interacting with students, faculty, staff and other internal and external stakeholders
• Knowledge of computer databases and information systems
• Ability and willingness to support and promote the Felician Franciscan core values and mission of the University

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required
• BA/BS preferred
• Salary Range: $45,000 to $55,900
