About the Role
All Ways Caring HomeCare is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a home-like setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene and grooming, feeding, and ambulation, medical monitoring, and health care related tasks.
- Fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their circle of support.
- Encouraging self-help activities.
- Implementing Individual Service Plan and Behavior Support Plans.
- Managing individual's behaviors by prevention or de-escalation of aggression.
- Keeping accurate daily documentation of activities, fire/disaster drills, Behavior Support Plans, medications, goal and data tracking, and other documentation.
- Transporting individuals to and from community activities and medical appointments.
- Transporting clients or running errands for clients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Driver's license with valid Auto Insurance.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Direct Support Professional (DSP) certification; or Copy of high school diploma/transcript or General Education Development (GED) diploma.
- At least six (6) months of experience providing behavioral health related services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD), or documented experience providing specific supports to individuals with disabilities.
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- Must pass background check.
Salary Range: $16.00 / Hour
