Job Title: Medical Lab Technician MLT
Department: Laboratory
Shift: Day
Working Hours: 6 am - 6:30 pm, with weekend options. Focus on Microbiology/Molecular.
About the Role
Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) provide information for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease by conducting medical laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses with limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare samples for examination.
- Use automated equipment and specialized instrumentation.
- Perform numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately.
- Interpret results in a timely manner to enable clinician decision-making.
- Completes training in at least two rotations within the first six months of employment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Associate degree in chemical science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
- National Registry for Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP or equivalent) preferred.
- Must be registry eligible.
- Possess language, math, and reasoning skills for analysis, interpretation, and valid conclusions during data collection and procedures.
- Possess good communication skills with the public and other hospital staff.
This is an entry-level position.
This job is authorized for 72.00 hours bi-weekly.
