About the Role

The Manager Trainee is a full-time, entry-level position designed to prepare you for a leadership role within 84 Lumber. This role offers hands-on training across all aspects of store operations with the goal of promotion to a management position.

Key Responsibilities

• Support customers and drive sales in a retail store environment.
• Oversee material/supply chain flow, stock, and merchandising.
• Create material estimates for building projects.
• Safe handling of materials and equipment through Forklift Operation and Certification.
• Manage Payroll, Invoicing, Inventory, and POS Systems.
• Perform Business Management tasks including financial analysis.
• Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
• Interpret and analyze common financial reports.
• Enhance and refine skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Full-time schedule (48+ hours/week, overtime included).
• Willingness to relocate for a management position.
• Dedicated and willing to learn.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings, assisting customers in all weather conditions.
• Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, and lifting (up to 80 pounds).
• Ability to work around machinery and airborne particles.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Qualifications

• No experience is required.
• Ability to complete a structured training plan including classroom, online, and hands-on learning.
• Ability to complete the learning plan and course of study within the assigned time frame.
