Job Title: Android Developer Intern

About the Role

• This is a full-time remote internship opportunity for an Android Developer Intern at Crossing Infotech, based in India.
• The internship duration is 1 to 3 months.
• A monthly stipend of INR 15,000 to INR 16,500 will be provided.
• Interns will work on live projects under the guidance of experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Android app screens and features using Kotlin or Java in Android Studio.
• Design responsive layouts using XML or Jetpack Compose that work on different screen sizes.
• Connect apps with REST APIs and display data using RecyclerView and other Android components.
• Utilize Firebase for authentication, database, notifications, and app analytics.
• Employ Git and GitHub for version control and code collaboration.
• Test apps on emulators and real devices, then debug crashes and fix performance issues.
• Follow Android design guidelines and clean code practices with team guidance.
• Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and deliver tasks on time.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic knowledge of Kotlin or Java (OOP concepts, collections, functions).
• Basic understanding of Android Studio and the Android app lifecycle.
• Familiarity with Firebase and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Basic understanding of UI layouts, activities, and fragments.
• Good written and spoken English communication.
• Candidates must have a laptop or computer and a stable internet connection.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Jetpack Compose, MVVM, and Retrofit.
• Basic understanding of SQLite or Room database.
• Familiarity with Material Design and the Google Play Store publishing process.
• Any Android project, GitHub portfolio, course, or certification.

Eligibility

• Students and recent graduates in B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc (Computer Science or IT), M.Sc, or any related field.
• Freshers interested in building a career in Android development.
