About the Role

A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services at PwC India, offers the opportunity to assist in all aspects of the firm's Finance function, including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. This role is within the Internal Tax team, providing internal services related to financial services, treasury, and taxation. You will help the team provide a full range of taxation services to PwC related to complex financial reporting, cost management, tax planning, investment management, and transaction processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advice and guidance on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy.
• Help businesses navigate complex indirect tax regulations and optimize their indirect tax positions.
• Focus on value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), and sales tax.
• Perform accounting and bookkeeping.
• Conduct research on tax topics.
• Deal with tax authorities, including preparing replies to notices and appearing before them.
• Perform various reconciliations in MS Excel.
• Play a pivotal role in various tax filings.
• Manage assigned work independently.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Good command over accounting and bookkeeping.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Thorough theoretical knowledge of GST.
• Good working knowledge of GST and Service Tax.
• Ability to do research on tax topics.
• Experience of dealing with tax authorities.
• Good communication and drafting skills.
• Capable of doing various reconciliations in MS Excel.
• Willing to work in difficult situations due to stringent statutory timelines.
• Capable of handling extreme work pressure.
• Good team player, able to build connections with different verticals of finance and business teams.
• Positive thinker with a solution-oriented approach.
• Knowledge of Oracle’s cloud package is an added advantage.
