Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Forward Deployed Engineer role based in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients to understand business processes, gather technical requirements, and translate them into robust software solutions.
• Design and implement back-end services.
• Integrate AI-driven features where relevant.
• Ensure applications are reliable, scalable, and maintainable.
• Deploy solutions in customer environments.
• Troubleshoot issues.
• Optimize performance.
• Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to users and internal teams.
• Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to deliver practical, high-impact solutions on time.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming using modern languages and frameworks.
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, databases, and cloud or server-side architectures.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices.
• Experience deploying and supporting production systems.
• Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Ability to work closely with customers on-site, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with AI, data-driven applications, or distributed systems is an advantage.
