Planning Engineer

About the Role

The Planning Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules.
• Coordinate with site teams and stakeholders.
• Ensure resources are allocated efficiently to meet project milestones.
• Monitor progress.
• Analyze data from project sites.
• Update planning documents.
• Support production planning and project control activities.
• Prepare reports.
• Identify risks and deviations.
• Recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and management teams to support timely and quality-focused project execution.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and standard office software.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, safety standards, and local regulations will be an advantage.

Qualifications

• Strong Project Planning and Production Planning skills, with experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Solid Analytical Skills and ability to interpret project data, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Experience in Project Control, including schedule tracking, progress measurement, and variance analysis.
• Clear and professional Communication skills for coordinating with site teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline; relevant experience in a planning role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced on-site environment.
