About the Role

The Buyer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and procuring goods and services that support the organization’s operations and project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Identifying reliable suppliers
• Requesting and evaluating quotations
• Negotiating pricing and terms
• Issuing purchase orders
• Monitoring inventory levels
• Tracking delivery schedules
• Ensuring timely and accurate receipt of materials
• Maintaining vendor relationships
• Updating procurement records
• Collaborating with finance and project teams to align purchasing decisions with budget and timeline requirements

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency with spreadsheets and procurement or ERP software
• Comfort working with data and reports

Qualifications

• Strong procurement and purchasing skills, including supplier sourcing, negotiation, and purchase order management
• Competence in inventory monitoring, demand forecasting, and basic logistics coordination
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to cost, quality, and timelines
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for vendor management and internal collaboration
• Ability to work on-site in Kolkata, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy under deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in purchasing, supply chain, or vendor management is an advantage.
