About the Role

Vasu Law Firm is a full-service law firm established in 1979, with offices in Ahmedabad, Surat, Mumbai, and Vadodara. The firm delivers practical, innovative, and cost-effective legal solutions while upholding the highest ethical and technical standards.

The Associate role is a full-time, on-site position based at the firm’s Ahmedabad office.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal documents and agreements across multiple practice areas, including corporate, banking, dispute resolution, and real estate.
• Conduct legal research.
• Prepare case notes and opinions.
• Support senior lawyers in court and arbitration matters.
• Coordinate with clients to gather information and provide updates.
• Manage case files and maintain accurate documentation.
• Contribute to strategy discussions for transactions and disputes.
• Collaborate with cross-location teams.
• Adhere to the firm’s quality and ethical standards.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing within the firm.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Familiarity with MS Office and basic legal research tools and databases.
• Knowledge of key practice areas such as corporate commercial law, banking and finance, dispute resolution, and real estate.
• Familiarity with litigation and arbitration procedures, court practices, and regulatory compliance in India.

Qualifications

• Strong legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and proofreading contracts, pleadings, notices, and other legal documents.
• Effective client communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and professional client interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, meet deadlines, and work diligently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• LL.B. or equivalent law degree from a recognized institution.
• Enrollment with the Bar Council of India preferred.
• Prior internship or professional experience in a law firm or corporate legal department will be an advantage.
