About the Role

This is an entry-level technical position working under the supervision of the IT Director to support Information Technology operations. The IT Support Technician serves as the first line of technical support for users and coordinates the resolution of more complex issues with other IT staff members.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and repairing computers, printers, and network equipment.
• Answer IT work order requests and facilitate resolution in the most efficient way.
• Configure, image, and replace end-user technical equipment, including computers, phones, data cards, and other mobile devices.
• Work with IT staff members to analyze and correct a variety of technology problems.
• Assist with monitoring proper network and server operations and resolving issues related to malware, spyware, and viruses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Microsoft Office (including Outlook in an Exchange environment)
• Microsoft Office 365 infrastructure
• Microsoft Operating Systems
• Desktop and laptop hardware
• Computer networking in an Active Directory environment
• Village-wide network infrastructure and related enterprise devices
• Computer security risks and vulnerabilities

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in computer support, network operations, and maintenance.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting personal computers, printers, servers, and other peripheral devices.
• Strong dedication to customer service and a goal-oriented mindset.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Ability to understand Village-wide network infrastructure and related enterprise devices.
• Ability to work and communicate with peers, vendors, public, and Village personnel.
• Must consistently demonstrate professionalism and the ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information.
• Capable of working on multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to communicate accurately both verbally and in writing.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to lift 30 to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Willingness to work under stress during peak workload periods.

Physical demands require moderate physical exertion and/or physical strain.

Environmental conditions may include intermittent exposure to disagreeable elements consistent with electronic and wiring installations, and work may be performed both indoors and outdoors.
