Summer Intern, Actuarial

About the Role

The RGA Summer Internship Program provides students with meaningful work and an opportunity to gain broad knowledge of the insurance industry and network with interns and full-time associates. This role offers a welcoming environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, contribute ideas, and expand their technical and communication skills. Actuarial Intern duties will vary by hiring department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and/or maintaining actuarial models.
• Manipulate, summarize, and/or analyze large amounts of data.
• Assist in developing, enhancing, and automating processes.
• Coordinate and communicate with other RGA departments.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Progress toward completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, or related field.
• Intermediate PC and technical skills.
• Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
• Takes initiative and is accountable.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to balance detail with department goals and objectives.
• Advanced oral and written communication skills.
• Complex analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, and participate in department projects.
• At least one Actuarial Exam passed is preferred.
