About the Role
The Management Trainee position is an entry-level training role within the Operations Management Trainee Program. It involves an intensive 16-week program designed to prepare participants for an initial leadership/supervisory role in operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn the basic principles of the transportation industry.
- Learn efficient cross-dock operations.
- Learn effective leadership communication.
- Develop relationship building skills.
- Complete guided, independent study as part of the leadership training program.
- Interface with Support Center and Service Center associates daily.
- Accompany and observe an Account Manager during customer sales calls.
- Accompany drivers on local delivery routes to understand the freight delivery process.
- Relocate to another facility for your first leadership role in Operations upon completion of the program.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Logistics, OR at least two years of related work experience.
- An acceptable driving history that aligns with company standards.
- Flexibility with a readiness to relocate as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective listening abilities.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Very strong work ethic.
