About the Role
A Founding Engineer opportunity has opened up at a fast-moving, venture-backed startup redefining how businesses reach their customers. This role offers genuine ownership over what gets built from day one.
The Role
The Founding Engineer will take the lead on zero-to-one product development, stepping into work currently driven by the founder. The focus is on building new products rather than maintaining existing ones.
- Current projects span areas including a global chat experience, a dialer, and MCP integration.
- The next phase of work is centred on richer agentic experiences, a context graph that users can interact with conversationally, and deep integration with tools such as Claude and Codex.
- This is a completely full-stack position.
- You will report directly to the CEO in a flat, fast-moving team.
The Company
This is an early-stage San Francisco-based startup operating in the sales and outreach space. The company consolidates data and context from disconnected tools into a single platform, enabling highly personalized outreach at scale. They are at an early but exciting stage, actively onboarding customers and growing quickly.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Solid software engineering fundamentals across the full stack.
- Python, TypeScript, and React are relevant, though no single technology is a hard requirement.
- Some exposure to a startup or fast-paced environment is helpful.
Qualifications
- A strong academic background in Computer Science or a related technical field from a leading undergraduate program.
- A product-oriented mindset: someone who thinks about what to build and why, not just how to build it, and who can operate with a high degree of independence and initiative.
- The ability to move quickly, learn on the job, and take real ownership.
