About the Role

A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious graduate or EA professional with strong social media skills to build a long-term career within a pioneering technology company. Working directly alongside the CEO, you will gain exceptional exposure to the people, decisions, and opportunities shaping the business, while becoming a trusted member of the team. This role would suit someone with a passion for international travel (approx 40%), who enjoys taking responsibility and wants to grow with an ambitious company. You will accompany the CEO to high-profile events, support important meetings, and capture social media content, developing a deep understanding of the business as you take on increasing responsibility.

Location: San Francisco Bay Area, California. On-site five days per week when not travelling, with approximately 40% domestic and international travel. Relocation support available.

Salary: $135,000–$210,000 per annum + competitive equity + relocation support available

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompany the CEO to industry events, business meetings, and other engagements, including international trips.
  • Coordinate practical arrangements on the day, including local transport, meals, timings, and transitions between meetings.
  • Take detailed handwritten meeting notes, accurately capturing discussions and actions without using AI note-taking tools.
  • Capture photographs and create social media content during events and business travel.
  • Help maintain an active company social media presence through timely, relevant content.
  • Represent the business professionally when interacting with external contacts and event attendees.
  • Work alongside the separate team responsible for booking flights and accommodation.
  • Build a strong understanding of the company’s priorities to provide increasingly effective support.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • A strong understanding of social media and how to capture engaging content, with confidence representing a company in person and on camera.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to take clear, accurate handwritten notes during technical and business meetings.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to adapt quickly as schedules and priorities change.
  • A dynamic individual, with a willingness to provide pro-active practical support and help others succeed.
  • Professional judgement and discretion, including the ability to keep personal political views separate from business responsibilities.
  • A desire to build a long-term career within the company, earning trust and taking on greater responsibility as the business grows.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 40% of the time and work on-site in San Leandro when not travelling.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

Qualifications

  • If applying at Graduate level, a standout achievement demonstrating dedication, discipline, and competitive drive (e.g., competitive athletics, mathematics olympiads, chess, classical music, achieving a black belt, or significant university leadership).
  • Previous executive assistant experience is not essential if you bring an exceptional track record in another area alongside the skills listed above.
  • Previous experience supporting a senior leader as an Executive Assistant, Coordinator, or Administrator within a hardware, defense, aerospace, or energy business would be beneficial.
  • A degree in an analytical subject would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with the Silicon Valley technology community or defense technology would be advantageous.
