Artificial Intelligence Researcher, Intern

About the Role

Orchested AI is an AI technology company specializing in post-training open-weight language models and developing self-improving AI agents for enterprise applications. In collaboration with a UK university, Orchested AI is undertaking a research and development project focused on designing efficient AI architectures, optimizing model performance, and developing specialized AI agents that continuously improve through feedback and learning.

We are seeking an enthusiastic AI Researcher Intern to contribute to this project across three core areas:

Key Responsibilities

• LLM Post-Training: Fine-tune open-weight models using LoRA, QLoRA, and supervised fine-tuning (SFT).
• AI Architecture & Agent Development: Design, develop, and evaluate efficient AI agent architectures, focusing on performance, reliability, and computational efficiency.
• Training Data Engineering: Create, curate, and validate high-quality datasets to support model training, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong Python programming skills and understanding of machine learning and deep learning.
• Familiarity with LLMs, transformer architectures, and Generative AI.
• Knowledge of model fine-tuning, evaluation, and optimisation techniques is desirable.
• Experience with PyTorch, Hugging Face, PEFT, or Unsloth is desirable.
• Interest in AI agents, reinforcement learning, and model efficiency.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
