Governance, Risk and Compliance Intern

About the Role

Nexus Void AI is a research-driven cybersecurity company focused on closing the gap between the speed of modern development and the speed of enterprise-grade security. The team is dedicated to making security verifiable, continuous, and autonomous through human-in-the-loop AI. Nexus Void AI builds solutions for continuous verification, supervised adversary simulation, and always-ready compliance evidence that can support organizations of any size. The company also specializes in translating technical risk into financial and business impact models that leadership can act on. Applicants will join a mission-oriented environment that experiments with cutting-edge autonomous agents to improve real-world security outcomes.

Duration: 3 to 6 months, remote.

Hands-on work with founders on live client engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 readiness work for real client engagements
• Collect and organise audit evidence across cloud, HR and IT systems
• Draft and review security policies and procedures
• Help map controls across frameworks and track gaps through to remediation
• Help answer vendor security questionnaires
• Give feedback on where the platform saves time and where it falls short

Qualifications

• Student or recent graduate in cybersecurity, IT, computer science, law or a related field
• Basic understanding of SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar frameworks
• Certifications or coursework a plus, not required.
• Clear written English and careful attention to detail
• Comfortable with documents, spreadsheets and learning new tools fast
• Curious about AI and security
