About the Role

The Transportation Operation Center (TOC) is the central command and control center for Transportation Execution across Amazon's Supply Chain network. It ensures timely pick-up and delivery of freight and resolves exceptions. TOC also analyzes network exceptions to automate processes or propose changes.

A Trans Ops Specialist at TOC facilitates information flow between stakeholders and resolves issues impacting customer experience and business continuity. This role works across Inbound and Outbound operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Communication with external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers).
• Develop and/or understand performance metrics to assist with driving business results.
• Scope out business and functional requirements for Amazon technology teams.
• Quickly understand the business impact of trends and make data-driven decisions.
• Systematically escalate problems or variances to relevant owners and teams, and follow through on resolutions.
• Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs.
• Provide real-time customer experience by working in a 24*7 operating environment.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level.
• SQL.
• Experience working with fast-moving, high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives, and cross-functional teams, or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of Logistics.
• Clear written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to ideate process improvements and drive them to conclusion.
• Ability to pull data from numerous databases and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis is a plus.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation and logistics, or fulfillment and distribution centers is preferred.
