The Role

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), your core responsibility will be generating high-quality pipeline and building the foundation for a career in sales. The role is AI-enhanced, utilizing AI for account research, personalized outreach, and scaling impact, while developing judgment, curiosity, and product expertise. You will represent Assembled at events, trade shows, and dinners, gaining exposure to discovery calls and demos, with opportunities to grow into a closing role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and book meetings with outbound prospects to create high-quality pipeline.
  • Prospect across cold calls, email, LinkedIn, events, and other channels.
  • Research accounts, identify key stakeholders, and determine reasons to engage.
  • Use AI tools and automation to enhance efficiency, personalize outreach, and improve prospecting methods.
  • Build strong discovery, objection-handling, and communication skills through coaching and repetition.
  • Progress towards running discovery calls and other customer conversations independently.
  • Attend in-person events, conferences, and customer meetups to create opportunities and build relationships.
  • Partner closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and RevOps on outbound campaigns and strategy.
  • Test new ideas, learn from successes, and contribute to improving the SDR playbook.

Qualifications

  • You are serious about building a career in sales and can articulate why.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to set high personal standards and achieve them.
  • You possess strong questioning and analytical skills, with a curiosity about how businesses operate.
  • You are resourceful and can make progress without a pre-defined playbook.
  • You learn quickly, are receptive to feedback, and adapt your approach accordingly.
  • You can handle setbacks and rejection without losing momentum.
  • You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and can express differing viewpoints constructively.
  • No prior SDR or SaaS experience is required. Emphasis is placed on your thinking, learning, and operational style.

Requirements & Tech Stack

  • AI tools and automation for prospecting and outreach.
  • Proficiency in cold calls, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Collaboration with Account Executives, Marketing, and RevOps.

Work Model

  • In-person 5 days a week from offices in San Francisco and New York.
  • Onsite work model with catered lunches, snacks, and beverages.
