About the Role
Aspirus is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join their newly expanded, state-of-the-art Cardiac Tower and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Wausau, WI. This role involves working with complex cardiothoracic and post-surgical patients, gaining high-acuity clinical experience, and developing advanced skills in a modern cardiac care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to complex cardiothoracic and post-surgical patients.
- Monitor high-acuity patients and recognize changes in condition.
- Manage IV drips, chest tubes, central lines, and advanced telemetry.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Deliver patient-centered care focused on quality outcomes.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Current RN license in Wisconsin or compact-state eligibility.
- Interest in cardiac, high-acuity, or critical care nursing.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS preferred; training may be available if needed.
- New graduates and experienced RNs are encouraged to apply.
