Robotics & Embedded Systems Intern

About the Role

Agritek India is offering an on-site internship for a Robotics & Embedded Systems Intern based in Bhubaneswar.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and testing of robotic and embedded systems for agricultural applications.
• Assist in the automation of field processes and sensor integration.
• Participate in daily tasks including hardware assembly, wiring, and interfacing sensors and actuators.
• Program microcontrollers and debug embedded code.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to prototype automation solutions.
• Perform field trials.
• Document system performance and improvements.
• Contribute to technical documentation.
• Participate in team meetings.
• Ensure solutions are practical, farmer-centric, and aligned with sustainable practices.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Skills in Robotics and Robot design, including basic kinematics, actuation, and control for field or mobile robots.
• Skills in Automation and Process Automation for automated workflows and agricultural machinery control systems.
• Skills in Mechatronics, integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Foundational knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino, STM32, ESP32), and basic electronics is highly beneficial.
• Experience with programming languages commonly used in embedded and robotics (such as C/C++, Python, or ROS basics) is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work on-site in Bhubaneswar.
• Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to engage with agriculture-focused projects.
• Interest in sustainable agriculture, rural development, and applying technology to real-world field conditions is strongly preferred.
