About The Role
Alignerr partners with leading AI research labs to train and refine AI models, ensuring accurate, evidence-based, and ethically sound health guidance. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role where domain knowledge shapes AI's understanding of population health, epidemiology, biostatistics, and health policy.
What You'll Do
- Design Complex Public Health Scenarios — Create prompts involving disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, and interpretation of clinical trial data to test AI reasoning.
- Author Ground-Truth Responses — Write detailed, step-by-step model answers drawing on peer-reviewed research, epidemiological evidence, and guidelines from bodies like the CDC and WHO.
- Audit AI Outputs — Critically evaluate AI-generated health advice and policy recommendations for factual accuracy, logical consistency, potential bias, and adherence to ethical standards.
- Refine AI Reasoning — Provide structured feedback to help AI models distinguish correlation from causation, communicate health risk appropriately, and serve diverse populations equitably.
Who You Are
- Holder of a Masters in Public Health (MPH), Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), or closely related graduate degree.
- Strong foundational knowledge in at least two of: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy.
- Skilled at translating complex health data into clear, culturally sensitive, and actionable written content.
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially around statistical significance, citations, and the logic of health interventions.
- Self-directed and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment.
- No prior AI experience required.
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, quality review, or evaluation workflows.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata.
- Background in health communication, clinical research coordination, or public health surveillance.
Why Join Us
- High-impact work — Expertise directly improves how AI handles public health questions.
- Fully remote and flexible — Work on your own schedule, 10–40 hours per week.
- Engage with cutting-edge AI — Collaborate with models at the frontier of language and reasoning research.
- Freelance autonomy — High agency, variety of tasks, and no micromanagement.
- Ongoing opportunity — Strong performers considered for contract renewals and expanded projects.
