Environmental Consultant, Intern

About the Role

This is an internship for an Environmental Consultant role based in Mumbai, structured as a hybrid position with a mix of on-site work and work from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental impact assessments for urban projects.
• Analyze ecological data.
• Prepare clear, evidence-based reports and recommendations.
• Formulate practices around environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support the design of strategies to increase urban green cover and improve environmental performance.
• Engage with community stakeholders.
• Contribute to proposals and presentations for public and private sector clients.
• Stay current with relevant environmental regulations and best practices.
• Occasional field visits, site assessments, and coordination with partners and vendors.

Requirements & Tech Stack

Based in Mumbai.

Hybrid position (mix of on-site and work from home).

Mostly work from home with occasional travel required for client meetings.

Comfort working in a hybrid setup, with the ability to manage time and responsibilities independently.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Environmental Science and Environmental Impact Assessment.
• Expertise in Environmental Compliance and Environmental Consulting.
• Solid Report Writing skills.
• Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
• Experience working on urban sustainability, green infrastructure, or forestry-related projects is highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and quality of work.
