David’s Studio is an independent game development studio focused on creating engaging gaming experiences. We are looking for aspiring 3D artists who want to develop their skills and contribute to building immersive game environments.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Environmental 3D Artist Intern to help create modular 3D environment assets for our game development projects. You will work on architectural components that can be reused and assembled to build game environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Create modular 3D assets such as walls, floors, doors, windows, and other architectural elements.
- Follow provided references, dimensions, and design requirements.
- Maintain appropriate scale, proportions, and clean topology.
- Organize and name 3D assets properly.
- Prepare models for texturing and integration into a game engine.
- Refine assets based on feedback and project requirements.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain consistency across environment assets.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Basic knowledge of 3D modelling using Blender or similar software.
- Understanding of 3D forms, proportions, and spatial arrangement.
- Ability to follow visual references and modelling guidelines.
- Willingness to learn modular asset creation and game environment workflows.
- Good communication skills and openness to feedback.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Blender, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3ds Max, SketchUp, or similar software.
- Basic understanding of game-ready assets and modular environment design.
- Familiarity with texturing or game-engine workflows is an advantage.
Internship Details
- Duration: 3 months.
- Work mode: Remote.
- This is an unpaid internship.
- An internship completion certificate will be provided upon fulfilling the agreed internship requirements.
- A portfolio is optional.
- Beginners who are actively developing their 3D modelling skills are encouraged to apply.
