Quality Assurance Tester

About the Role

RTAC is looking for a QA Tester to evaluate software applications, verify business workflows, and identify issues before new features are released. The role involves hands-on testing, analyzing application behavior, documenting defects, and working with development teams to maintain software quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Review application requirements and prepare test scenarios for different features.
• Execute functional tests to verify that software behaves as expected.
• Perform regression testing after application updates and bug fixes.
• Test user workflows, form validations, data processing, and access permissions.
• Identify defects, document reproduction steps, and track issues until resolution.
• Verify fixes and check for unexpected changes in existing functionality.
• Conduct cross-browser and compatibility testing for web applications.
• Validate API responses and database records where required.
• Collaborate with developers to investigate issues and improve application reliability.
• Maintain test cases, testing records, and defect reports.

Qualifications

• Understanding of software testing fundamentals and the software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of test case preparation, functional testing, and defect reporting.
• Familiarity with web applications, browser testing, and basic debugging.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and API testing is an advantage.
• Exposure to Playwright, Appium, or other testing tools is beneficial.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Freshers with relevant academic projects or practical testing knowledge are welcome.
