Junior Embedded Hardware / Software Design Engineer

About the Role

Support the design, development, and testing of embedded systems for industrial networking products. This full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad involves hands-on work in lab and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting in hardware schematic review.
• Embedded software development.
• Debugging and troubleshooting.
• Validating designs against performance and safety requirements.
• Collaborating with senior engineers to implement firmware features.
• Optimizing system performance.
• Participating in product documentation and release activities.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Skills in Software Design and Software Development for embedded and industrial networking applications.
• Skills in Embedded Software development and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for firmware and device-level control.
• Strong Debugging skills for hardware-software integration, issue analysis, and system optimization.
• Familiarity with C/C++ programming.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, RF, LTE, Modbus.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Ability to use lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).

Qualifications

• Understanding of microcontrollers, embedded processors, and basic digital/analog electronics is beneficial.
• Ability to follow engineering best practices is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Ahmedabad.
