Research Intern

About the Role

The Research Intern will support Startup Story® in identifying, analyzing, and documenting stories of startups and entrepreneurs, with a particular focus on emerging ventures from diverse regions. This is an internship role based in New Delhi with a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct secondary and primary research on startups.
• Compile data on markets and trends.
• Prepare structured reports and briefs for content and editorial teams.
• Help verify facts.
• Gather background information for interviews.
• Contribute insights to improve the quality and relevance of published stories.

Qualifications

• Strong research and analytical abilities, including proficiency in online research, data gathering, and organizing information clearly.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex ideas and present findings in a concise, engaging manner.
• Comfort using productivity and collaboration tools (such as spreadsheets, presentation software, and online project management platforms).
• Interest in startups, entrepreneurship, and storytelling, with curiosity about emerging markets and founders from tier 2 and 3 cities.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in business, economics, communications, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in research, fact-checking, and documentation.
