About the Role

The AutoCAD Intern role at Weskill is a remote internship focused on developing and applying core drafting and design skills in a professional training environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Creating and modifying architectural and construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Assisting with space planning layouts.
• Ensuring drawings meet given specifications and standards.
• Collaborating with mentors and team members.
• Contributing to project documentation.
• Participating in review sessions to refine technical accuracy and design quality.
• Improving communication skills.
• Receiving feedback and building a portfolio of design work aligned with industry expectations.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergraduate program in architecture, civil engineering, interior design, or a related field.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with Architectural Drawings and Construction Drawings, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Strong drawing skills, including basic drafting principles and attention to detail.
• Understanding of Space Planning concepts and ability to translate requirements into functional layouts.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with mentors, peers, and project stakeholders.
• Familiarity with design standards is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
