About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Robotics Engineer to design, build, and optimize intelligent robotic and autonomous systems. In this role, you will bridge hardware engineering, software development, and control systems to create scalable, robust robotic solutions. You will focus on developing autonomous navigation, sensor fusion, and control algorithms to drive operational efficiency, enhance automation, and ensure high system reliability and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design & Integration: Architect, develop, and integrate robotic software and hardware components, including sensors, actuators, controllers, and embedded platforms.
- Control & Navigation Algorithms: Design and implement motion planning, kinematic control, localization, and mapping (SLAM) algorithms for autonomous operations.
- Software Development & Testing: Write clean, modular code in C++ and Python using ROS/ROS2; test and debug real-time software on physical hardware and in simulation environments.
- Sensor Fusion & Perception: Integrate computer vision, LiDAR, IMU, and ultrasonic data feeds to enable reliable environment perception and decision-making.
- Root Cause Analysis & Troubleshooting: Perform diagnostic testing and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on system failures, hardware glitches, or software bugs, implementing data-driven corrective actions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with mechanical engineers, firmware developers, project managers, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless hardware-software deployment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Required).
- Experience: 0–5 years of experience in robotics development, autonomous systems, embedded programming, or mechatronics.
- Technical Skills (Required):
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Python within Linux environment.
- Hands-on experience with Robot Operating System (ROS or ROS2) and simulation engines (e.g., Gazebo, Webots, Isaac Sim).
- Solid understanding of control theory, kinematics, trajectory generation, and sensor processing.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded communication protocols (CAN, UART, SPI, I2C), and PCB design basics.
- Preferred Skills:
- Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Experience with OpenCV, PyTorch/TensorFlow for perception or machine learning tasks.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) or safety-critical software compliance standards.
