Tax Technology Intern

About the Role

Nissan Motor Corporation is seeking a Tax Technology Intern for a 12-week full-time program in Franklin, TN, for Summer 2027. This internship offers hands-on exposure to tax operations, data analytics, process improvement, automation tools, and technology solutions. The role aims to develop both technical and business skills while contributing to projects that enhance tax process execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support tax automation initiatives using tools such as Excel, Power Query, Power Automate, Python, Power BI, and similar technologies.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of process documentation, standard operating procedures, and workflow maps.
• Perform data collection, validation, cleansing, and reconciliation activities related to tax reporting and compliance processes.
• Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Collaborate with tax, finance, and technology teams to support ongoing modernization initiatives.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
• Interest in technology, automation, data analytics, and process improvement.
• Ability to perform work onsite at Franklin, TN.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Students entering their Junior, Senior, or Master's program at the start of the upcoming academic term.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while taking ownership of assigned projects.
• GPA of 3.0 or above (transcripts required for verification).
• Degree Level: Senior or Master's Preferred.
• Job Schedule: Full-time, 12-week program.
