START Nurse Residency Program
Program Overview
The START Nurse Residency program is the recipient of the Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP) with Distinction designation from the ANCC.

- The next START cohort will begin in March, 2027.
- Application review and interviews will take place the weeks of 12/7/26 & 12/14/26.
Position Requirements
- Registered Nurse with less than 1 year of experience or a recent graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- GPA 3.0 or greater.
- BSN is strongly preferred.

- If selected as a prospective candidate, you will be contacted via email to submit a portfolio for review.
- Portfolio requirements may include:
- 500-word essay on why you should be chosen for the START Nurse Residency program.
- Academic credentials/transcripts.
- Letters of recommendation from clinical instructors.
- The portfolio due date will be within one week from when you are contacted.
- ALL portfolios will be due by 11/30/26.
