Data Engineer Intern

About the Role

AURVON Tech is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer Intern passionate about data engineering, databases, and building reliable data pipelines. This internship offers practical experience with data infrastructure, transformation workflows, and modern data technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for collecting, processing, and transforming data.
• Work with structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Assist in building ETL/ELT workflows for efficient data processing.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Perform data cleaning, validation, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with developers and analytics teams to support data-driven projects.
• Document data workflows, schemas, and technical processes.
• Explore automation and cloud-based data engineering tools.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Understanding of relational databases and database management.
• Familiarity with data structures, data processing, and ETL concepts.
• Basic understanding of data pipelines and data warehousing.
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and willingness to learn independently.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of Pandas and NumPy.
• Exposure to Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, or Kafka.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Personal projects involving data pipelines, APIs, or automation.

Qualifications

• Students or recent graduates in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related fields.
• Candidates with relevant technical skills and personal projects.
• Freshers interested in pursuing a career in data engineering.
• Candidates who can commit to the internship and work independently in a remote environment.
