About the Role

Product Engineer/Financial Analyst - Valuation & Market Data at SimCorp. This role is crucial for establishing best practice valuation standards within SimCorp platform solutions, benefiting clients, product development, support, and sales. The role collaborates with Product Management, Standard Guilds, the SimCorp One Value Stream, Consulting, and other stakeholders to shape solutions that balance customer outcomes, business value, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide detailed guidance on the valuation of all financial instruments within SimCorp platform solutions, recommending methodologies, pricing methods, and key analytics (e.g., duration, exposure, convexity).
• Understand customer problems, market needs, and implementation challenges, translating them into scalable standardized solutions.
• Specialize in the theory and practical application of financial instrument valuation, incorporating client feedback and benchmarking against external providers.
• Manage product outcomes by balancing customer value, adoption, standardization, and long-term maintainability.
• Partner with Standard Guilds and stakeholders to refine requirements, rethink assumptions, and improve solution design.
• Design, configure, and enhance Standard solutions with a focus on user experience and business impact.
• Collaborate with Product, Value Stream, Engineering, and Consulting teams to deliver end-to-end client outcomes.
• Use data, customer feedback, and implementation insights to continuously improve existing product capabilities.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning through knowledge sharing, documentation, experimentation, and product discovery.
• Collaborate with colleagues to leverage collective expertise and solve complex customer and product challenges.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience in the financial industry and a solid understanding of front-to-back investment workflows.
• SimCorp Dimension hands-on implementation or configuration experience.
• Agile principles knowledge and experience working in cross-functional product teams.

Qualifications

• At least Level 1 of CFA Certification.
• In-depth knowledge in Financial Instruments, Valuation, and Pricing.
• Solid product mindset with the ability to connect customer needs, business objectives, and technical solutions.
• Curiosity about customer problems and a commitment to improving user outcomes.
• Ability to review requirements constructively and identify simpler, more valuable solutions.
• Practical analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term product strategy.
• A deep belief in standardization, scalability, and best practices.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.

• Noida (Hybrid work model) - working from the office two days each week while allowing remote work on other days.
