Position Summary
Responsible for front office duties of medical practices and supporting clinical care team members with patient care delivery in accordance with the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in patient assessment data collection.
- Implement a teaching plan with patient, family, and/or caregiver(s) as necessary.
- Demonstrate proficiency in all duties within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.
- Implement orders and treatment plan components as directed by Provider(s).
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives.
- Interact in a positive and constructive manner.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Must possess required ability, skill-set, qualifications, education, and licensure for all position responsibilities.
- Must excel in communication (written & verbal) and customer service.
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must excel in prioritization, organization, and multi-tasking with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Must utilize critical thinking skills to identify issues, problem-solve, demonstrate initiative, and be responsible.
- Urgent care experience is required.
- Medical office and clinical experience in an ambulatory care environment is required.
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Certificate from Accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- BLS for Healthcare Provider.
- Phlebotomy Certification is preferred.
Experience Levels
- MA Level 1: 0 to 2 years of experience.
- MA Level 2: 2+ years of experience.
Pay Range
- MA Level 1: $23.00/hr - $33.18/hr
- MA Level 2: $25.22/hr - $36.57/hr
Additional Information
- $2,500 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.
- Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors, including relevant years of experience and qualifications.
