Software Engineer

About the Role

Amazon GuardDuty is a customer-facing threat detection service designed to protect applications and services running in AWS. We are looking for Software Development Engineers with an interest and experience in the security domain. In this role, you will be building large-scale applications in distributed systems using AI. GuardDuty is a fast-growing AWS Threat Detection service that processes trillions of log events and applies advanced analytics and machine learning to detect threats and aggregate threat intelligence. This team interacts with applied scientists and security researchers to codify security analytics into the service.

Key Responsibilities

• Build large-scale applications in distributed systems using AI.
• Design and develop large-scale distributed systems with latency and scale requirements, processing terabytes of daily log data.
• Develop high availability, low latency services that process streaming events at 100 billion per hour from EC2 machines, ECS, and EKS hosts.
• Apply Machine Learning in the security domain.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Experience in the security domain.
• Experience building large-scale applications in distributed systems.
• Interest in operating a threat detection service.
• Interest in working on complex software systems in a customer-centric environment.

Qualifications

• Reverse engineering skills is a huge plus.
• Access to mentorship from Principal Engineers, Senior Engineers, and Security Engineers.
