Farmer

About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site Farmer role based in the Greater Kolkata Area.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing fields
• Planting crops
• Watering
• Weeding
• Monitoring plant health throughout the growing cycle
• Operating basic farming tools and equipment
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in work areas
• Following safe handling procedures for materials and products
• Tracking crop conditions
• Reporting issues such as pests or disease
• Assisting with harvesting, sorting, and packing produce
• Meeting production targets
• Following established schedules
• Adapting to seasonal demands and weather conditions

Qualifications

• Experience or strong interest in farming, agriculture, or other outdoor, hands-on work
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, lifting, bending, and working in varied weather conditions
• Basic familiarity with tools and equipment used in cultivation, irrigation, and harvesting, or willingness to learn
• Attention to detail in following instructions, maintaining crop health, and ensuring product quality
• Reliable time management skills and the ability to follow daily schedules and production plans
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a respectful and cooperative attitude toward colleagues
• Commitment to safe work practices and adherence to company policies and procedures
• Prior experience in agriculture or related fields in the Greater Kolkata Area is an advantage but not mandatory.
