Role Description

The Volunteer role is a full-time, on-site position based at St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata. Volunteers assist in planning and executing events such as workshops, competitions, speaker sessions, and networking activities that promote entrepreneurship on campus.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with student teams and mentors.
• Manage event logistics and registrations.
• Prepare communication materials.
• Maintain records of activities and participants.
• Support outreach efforts by engaging with students.
• Promote EDCIC initiatives across departments.
• Collect feedback to improve future programs.
• Collaborate with the core EDCIC team to brainstorm new initiatives.
• Contribute ideas and help create a supportive environment for emerging entrepreneurs.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with diverse student groups, faculty, and guest speakers.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle event coordination, scheduling, and task prioritization effectively.
• Basic administrative and documentation skills, including comfort with MS Office or similar tools for reports, tracking, and correspondence.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills, with a willingness to work closely with peers and EDCIC coordinators in a dynamic environment.
• Problem-solving and initiative-taking abilities, with a proactive attitude toward identifying needs and contributing ideas for improvement.
• An interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, and student development is highly desirable.
• Current enrollment at St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata or familiarity with campus activities will be beneficial.
• Prior experience in student clubs, event management, or volunteering roles is an added advantage.
