Data Science/ Software Engineer Intern Fall 2026 Internship La Jolla

About the Role

This Fall 2026 internship is for college students in the La Jolla, San Diego area who can commute to the office. Interns will handle real operational problems and explore technological solutions, prototyping, testing, and contributing to projects that impact the company's operations. The role involves a modern tech stack including CINC, a custom Supabase data platform, HubSpot, RingCentral, n8n, and Google Workspace, leveraging software, AI, and automation. The internship is for academic credit.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and test n8n automation workflows to connect tools and eliminate manual work.
• Prototype and test new ideas, proposing and building working versions of improved processes.
• Develop AI-powered workflows using Claude and Gemini APIs for tasks like drafting, extraction, and multi-step systems.
• Run recurring data-extraction jobs from HOA financial-statement PDFs into spreadsheets.
• Support data cleanup, entry, and validation in Supabase and spreadsheets.
• Design, build, and test internal tools and dashboards, including potential replacements for current paid software.
• Maintain data quality in HubSpot and support acquisition research by gathering, organizing, scoring, and verifying company and contact data.
• Document workflows and tools, and own well-defined projects.

• Comfort with new software, spreadsheets, and learning tools on the fly.
• Analytical aptitude for breaking down data and business problems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine curiosity for technology, automation, and AI.
• Exposure to SQL, Python, automation platforms, or AI tools is a plus.
• Modern stack: CINC, custom Supabase data platform, HubSpot, RingCentral, n8n, Google Workspace.
• AI APIs: Claude, Gemini.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college student.
• Ability to commute to the La Jolla, San Diego office.
• Available 20 hours per week during the school year, starting September 2026.
