About the Role
DLR Group has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer, Entry Level in Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, or Fort Worth, TX. As an Entry Level Mechanical Engineer, you will participate in the design process of mechanical building systems from schematics through construction administration, preparing detailed mechanical engineering drawings and performing design calculations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing project objectives, goals, and documentation policies.
- Develop mechanical designs from concept through completion of construction.
- Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
- Coordinate mechanical design requirements with architecture, structure, and other disciplines.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Bachelor’s Degree (ABET accredited) in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
Qualifications
- Previous internship, co-op experience, or full-time position with a consulting engineering or A/E firm.
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
- Experience with BIM (e.g. Autodesk Revit MEP) workflow.
- Experience and interest in sustainable building design.
