Health And Safety Officer

About the Role

The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment across project locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections.
• Identify hazards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
• Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents.
• Document findings and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks.
• Monitor use of personal protective equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to implement safety plans.
• Maintain safety records.
• Support audits.
• Advise management on improvements to safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills, with knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices.
• Accident Investigation skills, including incident analysis, root-cause identification, and reporting.
• Security-related skills, with the ability to coordinate safety and security measures on-site.
• Safety Training skills, including the ability to deliver clear, engaging training sessions and toolbox talks.
• Relevant diploma or degree in safety, engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in occupational health and safety are an advantage.
• Experience in infrastructure, construction, or industrial project environments, with familiarity in risk assessment and safety audits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence safe behavior and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to work on-site in Gurugram.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain detailed, accurate documentation.
