Software Engineer

About the Role

The Software Engineer will work full-time on-site at Raptee.HV’s Chennai location, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of software systems that power high-voltage electric motorcycles and related platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Writing clean, efficient code.
• Implementing back-end services and APIs.
• Integrating software with hardware and vehicle systems.
• Participating in code reviews and testing to ensure reliability and performance.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as hardware, product, and design to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Optimizing existing systems.
• Troubleshooting issues.
• Contributing to documentation and best practices to support scalable, maintainable software.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and software architecture.
• Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, including at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, Go, or similar).
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development, including building APIs, working with databases, and integrating services.
• Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and unit/integration testing frameworks.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site, multidisciplinary environment, with clear communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, or cloud platforms is an advantage.
• Interest in electric vehicles, automotive technology, or performance engineering is a plus.
