Agronomist Research Intern
About the Role
Hiteshi Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking Agronomist Research Interns with an academic background in Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Entomology, or Agrochemicals to support agricultural research and the development of crop advisory application/software. This on-site, paid internship involves studying crop health, identifying agricultural challenges, reviewing scientific literature, and contributing to research-based crop management practices.
Preferred Research Domains:
- Soil Science: Soil fertility, nutrient deficiencies, soil health, and nutrient management.
- Plant Pathology: Crop disease identification, pathogen diagnosis, and disease management.
- Agricultural Entomology: Insect pest identification, pest monitoring, and integrated pest management (IPM).
- Agrochemicals: Pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, biopesticides, phytotoxicity, and crop protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Research crops and agricultural topics using reliable scientific sources.
- Identify research gaps and develop relevant research questions.
- Study crop diseases, pests, soil health, and crop protection methods.
- Analyze agricultural data and check research findings for accuracy.
- Organize, summarize, and document research information.
- Prepare research reports and summaries.
Qualifications
- Degree in Agriculture or a relevant specialization.
- Research experience through a thesis, dissertation, academic project, laboratory work, or field trials in at least one preferred domain.
- Strong analytical and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with scientific literature databases and research tools.
