Information Technology Intern

About the Role

The Information Technology Intern will report to the Cybersecurity Manager and work with other IT team members in person in our Cincinnati, OH office.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security events and review logs to identify anomalies and possible incidents within the network
• Respond immediately to cybersecurity-related alerts and provide a thorough investigation and analysis
• Perform research and analysis of tools and procedures providing feedback and recommendations
• Conduct Cybersecurity training, briefings, and presentations for multiple levels of business
• Support the implementation and tuning of network and computer security solutions
• Perform security assessments of applications and systems vulnerability testing and risk analysis
• Research and identify cybersecurity trends and best practices
• Respond to help desk tickets assigned to the cybersecurity team
• Conduct daily monitoring and actioning of security activities related to email

Qualifications

• A current university student enrolled in a degree-seeking program studying Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other closely related field (e.g., digital forensics, network security, etc.)
• Ability to work independently, with direction and guidance, and on a team
• Excellent written and organizational skills with proven ability to balance multiple priorities at once
