About the Role

The Owner role at SMC Global Securities Ltd. in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region is a full-time, on-site leadership position overseeing overall business strategy, operations, and growth. The individual in this role is expected to define long-term vision, set performance targets, and ensure alignment of all departments with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring financial performance.
• Supervising key client relationships.
• Ensuring adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
• Guiding investment and product decisions.
• Collaborating with senior leadership to manage risk, optimize resources, and drive innovation in service offerings.
• Cultivating a high-performing, ethical workplace culture.
• Representing the organization in external stakeholder meetings, industry forums, and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and strategic management skills, with the ability to set vision, make high-impact decisions, and guide cross-functional teams.
• Extensive experience in financial services, capital markets, or securities brokerage, with deep understanding of equities, derivatives, and related products.
• Robust knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk management practices relevant to the Indian securities industry.
• Proven financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and familiarity with key business and market metrics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and regulators.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business development, identify new opportunities, and support innovation in products and services.
• Track record of building inclusive, ethical, and results-oriented organizational cultures.
• Advanced degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience in senior leadership roles may be considered.
