Quality Engineering Intern
Flocci
About the Role
Quality Engineering Intern on the Flocci Hotels Suite product team. This is a two-month on-job training position.
Key Responsibilities
- Test folios, the housekeeping state machine, POS edge cases, and the reservation calendar against written requirements.
- After clearing a gate, move from running given charters to owning a surface and fixing small defects.
- Test folio arithmetic exhaustively: post a charge, split it, transfer it, void it after tax, settle it across two payment methods, and confirm the folio balances.
- Drive the housekeeping state machine end to end (vacant-dirty, cleaning, inspected, vacant-ready, out of order) and find paths where a room reaches ready without passing inspection.
- Break the reservation calendar on purpose: same-day check-out and check-in, stay extended past a blocked date, group booking partly cancelled, early departure with a mid-stay rate plan change.
- Test the hotel POS against edge cases: item voided after KOT, bill posted to a room after guest vacated, discount applied after tax.
- Run the night audit and check that its output reconciles with folios and POS closings.
- Write test charters and regression lists, and fix small defects filed.
