About the Role

Vodafone Idea Limited is India’s leading telecom service provider, an Aditya Birla Group and Vodafone Group partnership. The company provides pan India Voice and Data services across 2G, 3G, and 4G platforms.

Job Purpose

• Drive test automation & Performance testing across all applications in the IT ecosystem & evaluate new tools for PT, Test Automations, & DevOps.
• Ensure 100% availability of DevOps, Test data, Automation, & PT environments.
• Manage DevOps platform and tools, and Application deployment.
• Manage periodic platform/tools upgrades.
• Monitor Backups and review backup policies periodically.
• Drive governance of DevOps Platform usage and deliveries like AI / RPA implementation, Performance testing, & Test Data activity across the IT eco-system.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficiency in test automation frameworks such as Robotic framework using Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, JMeter.
• Experience with scripting languages like shell script, Python, Java, JMeter, or JavaScript for test automation & PT Stubs.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GIT, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, Meven, Kubernetes, & containerization concepts.
• Experience with API / Microservice testing.
• Leading and managing a team of DevOps SME, architects, Test Automation & Performance Testing architects. Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
• Ability to automate testing for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Understanding of API testing and tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Strong advocate of Standardization, quality, responsible to act as SME for application modernization/transformation programs.
• Fostering collaboration and communication between development, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
• Strong experience in evaluating tools capabilities, implementing them across IT functions for business benefits and E2E tracking of delivery (Agile/waterfall projects).

Technical/Functional Competencies

• Industry Certification in required tools, DevOps, (AI/RPA), and coding languages.
• Good stakeholder-management skills to interface with business users.
• AI/GenAI Ops, Testing, and Digital Ecosystem Capability.
