Article Trainee

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in accounting, taxation, and audit assignments under the guidance of senior team members.
• Prepare working papers, maintain records, and draft basic reports.
• Support statutory and tax audits.
• Help with compliance filings.
• Perform data entry and documentation tasks with accuracy.
• Conduct basic research on accounting and tax issues.
• Interact with clients for information gathering.
• Help prepare presentations or summaries as required.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in accounting, auditing, and taxation, with the ability to apply concepts to practical assignments.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word) and comfortable working with digital documentation and basic accounting software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members and clients and prepare clear, concise work papers.
• Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks under supervision.
• Enrollment in or completion of a professional course such as CA (Article/Intern stage) or a degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn, maintain confidentiality, adhere to professional ethics, and work collaboratively in an office setting is essential.
