About the Role
The Commercial Lending Intern will gain exposure to the Commercial Lending process, focusing on the verification of commercial real estate appraisals, data transfer for Conventional and SBA loans, and discrepancy resolution. This role will provide general support to the Commercial Credit Team, with opportunities for underwriting duties.
What You'll Do
- Review and verify commercial real estate appraisal information for accuracy.
- Assist in transferring credit memorandum data in the Credit Union’s software application for Conventional and SBA loans, ensuring consistency.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Support the Commercial Credit team in maintaining accurate loan documentation.
- Track and report progress in reviewing the Commercial Loan Portfolio.
- Participate in Commercial Credit team meetings to understand workflow and contribute to process improvements.
- Complete additional credit underwriting duties as time allows, including:
- Spreading financial statements.
- Reviewing credit underwriting documents.
- Updating administrative tracking.
Requirements & Tech Stack
- Current college student (Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Graduate status) or a recent graduate within the last three months.
- 3.0 GPA or greater.
- Major in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Ability to work Part-Time (20-25 hours per week, average).
- Fully On-Site at Tampa, FL.
