Junior Accountant (QuickBooks Online & Dext)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Junior Accountant to support their accounting team with day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable following established workflows, and proactive in identifying discrepancies and seeking clarification when needed.

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST
• Full-time, 40 work hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices and vendor bills.
• Match and reconcile bank transactions.
• Reconcile receipts and accounting documents, including through Dext.
• Process customer payments and remittances.
• Reconcile vendor and customer statements.
• Perform BOL and accounting data entry and verification.
• Monitor the accounting inbox and follow up on missing documents or information.
• Work with QuickBooks Online.
• Use Excel and Google Sheets for accounting-related tasks.
• Provide general accounting and administrative support.

Requirements & Tech Stack

• Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system.
• Intel i5 or i7 processor.
• 16 GB RAM.
• Internet speed of 30 Mbps or higher.
• Minimum of 30 GB available hard drive space.

Qualifications

• Experience with QuickBooks Online and Dext (Highly preferred).
• Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience (Preferred).
• Highly detail-oriented and organized with strong attention to accuracy and verification.
• Comfortable following established processes and workflows.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies without making assumptions when information is unclear.
• Proactive mindset—knows when to ask questions and escalate issues appropriately.
